Exosomes
with Microneedling
A next-generation approach to skin renewal — harnessing your body's own cellular communication signals to restore, repair, and rejuvenate from within.
What Are Exosomes?
Exosomes are tiny, naturally occurring particles — so small they're invisible to the naked eye — that your cells use to communicate with one another. Think of them as the body's internal messaging system.
Every cell in your body releases exosomes packed with growth factors, proteins, and genetic instructions. When skin is damaged or aging, these messages slow down. Exosome therapy delivers a concentrated burst of those signals directly where your skin needs them most.
"Exosomes are like text messages between your cells — telling them to heal, produce collagen, and regenerate. We're essentially sending your skin a flood of the right messages at the right time."
The exosomes used at Vital Med Clinic are derived from highly purified stem cell sources and contain billions of bioactive signals — far more than your body could produce on its own after injury or with age.
How Microneedling Works
Microneedling uses a device with ultra-fine, sterile needles to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin's surface. This is done precisely and at controlled depths — causing a controlled micro-injury that triggers your skin's natural healing response.
On its own, microneedling stimulates collagen production, improves texture, and reduces the appearance of scars and fine lines. But when combined with exosomes, something remarkable happens.
Preparation
Your skin is thoroughly cleansed and a topical numbing cream is applied for 20–30 minutes, ensuring your comfort throughout the procedure.
Microneedling Pass
The microneedling device glides gently across your skin, creating micro-channels. Most patients describe this as a mild sandpaper sensation — very tolerable.
Exosome Application
A concentrated exosome serum is applied immediately. The micro-channels allow deep, direct delivery into the dermis — dramatically increasing absorption vs. topical application alone.
Recovery & Results
Your skin begins its healing cascade. Over days and weeks, collagen builds, inflammation resolves, and visible improvements emerge.
What Can This Treat?
The combination of exosomes and microneedling addresses a wide range of skin concerns with impressive depth and longevity of results.
Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Stimulates new collagen and elastin to soften lines and restore youthful fullness to the skin.
Skin Texture & Tone
Refines pore size, smooths rough patches, and evens out skin tone for a luminous, consistent complexion.
Acne Scarring
Breaks down fibrotic scar tissue and encourages healthy skin remodelling to visibly reduce scarring.
Hyperpigmentation
Growth factors in exosomes help regulate melanin production, reducing sunspots and discolouration.
Skin Laxity
Tightens and firms areas of sagging by rebuilding the skin's structural protein matrix.
Hair Restoration
When applied to the scalp, exosomes can reactivate dormant follicles and support healthier hair growth.
What Happens After Treatment?
Your skin tells a story of recovery and renewal. Here's what to expect in the days and weeks following your session.
Redness & Warmth
Skin will appear pink-to-red, similar to a mild sunburn. This is completely normal and signals active healing. Avoid makeup, sweating, and direct sun.
Peeling & Sensitivity
Light flaking or dryness may occur as old skin sheds. Use gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers. Redness continues to subside.
Initial Glow
Most patients notice smoother texture and a brighter complexion. The healing process is well underway; collagen synthesis has begun.
Progressive Improvement
Collagen matures and results deepen. Scarring softens, tone evens, and firmness becomes visible. This is the peak phase of visible transformation.
Sustained Results
Results from a single session can last 6–12 months. A series of 2–3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart typically yields the most dramatic and lasting outcomes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Most patients find it very comfortable once the topical numbing cream has taken effect. You may feel mild pressure or warmth during the procedure. Sensitivity varies by area and needle depth, but the overall experience is well-tolerated.
PRP uses growth factors concentrated from your own blood. Exosomes go further — they are purified signalling particles containing not just growth factors, but also genetic regulators (microRNA) and thousands of bioactive proteins. Exosome serums contain many times more regenerative signals than PRP and require no blood draw.
Many patients see meaningful improvement after just one session. For deeper concerns like acne scarring, hair loss, or significant laxity, a series of 2–3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. Your physician will tailor a plan specific to your goals.
Expect 24–72 hours of visible redness and mild sensitivity — similar to a sunburn. Most patients return to work and light activity within 1–2 days. We recommend avoiding intense exercise, sun exposure, and makeup for 48 hours post-treatment.
Exosome microneedling is not recommended for those with active skin infections, open wounds, or certain autoimmune conditions. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should defer treatment. Your physician will review your full medical history before proceeding.
Yes. The exosome preparations used at Vital Med Clinic are rigorously purified and quality-tested. Because they are acellular (contain no living cells), they carry an excellent safety profile. Adverse reactions are rare and typically limited to mild, temporary skin irritation.
